Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu offers an authentic experience on your trip to Machu Picchu from Cusco. The four days Inca trail tops the bucket list of many travellers as you will be retracing the footsteps of Incas on the way to their lost city.
The stone path was built some 500 years ago. It is now among the top 25 treks in the world. In order to maintain the authenticity of the trail, authorities have now imposed a restriction of allowing not more than 500 trekkers a day.
This number includes chefs, guides and porters. So barely 250 hikers enjoy hiking the Inca Trail a day. The permit for Inca Trail often gets sold six to seven months in advance.
Inca Trail to Machu Picchu offers a rewarding experience at every turn. You will be rewarded with sights of different Inca Sites dotted along the trail. Towards the end of the trail you will be visiting Wiñay Wayna. In Quechua it means forever young.
Pasion Andina is one of the reliable tour operator in Cusco. We operate the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in small groups. Our tour guides are locals and have an excellent knowledge on first aid.
On every high altitude trek we carry Oxygen tanks and coca leaves. It is highly recommended for you to spend at least three days in Cusco and acclimate to avoid altitude sickness.
